They can be worn but a recess would have been better. I wanted a lid that looked awesome with my bike, I spent a few months looking and liked the look the icon brand, having never had one before, i popped over to reading to have a look, they had a great range of lids but icon had the look i wanted, they seem very sturdy and are comfortable to wear, I got a Large as i was 58.5cm in size, it was a tight fit, so people with slightly bigger sizes might find it too tight, i think the fact that you can custom style it a little is great and being able to change the sun visor is pretty cool, overall this lid is perfect for my needs and the price is reasonable for the superb quality you get, think i may even be an iconvert.
